Echo Lounge explores the relationship between living spaces and furniture experiences while engaging users with dynamic spatial interactions. The Echo Lounge is constructed with 100% recyclable materials. It does not use fasteners, making disassembly quick and easy, and promoting the reuse and recycling of all its components.
The design of the Lounge was influenced by the concept of "dematerialization," which encourages minimal material consumption throughout the product's lifecycle. This approach facilitates production and recycling, resulting in a highly responsive structural piece with low material consumption, a clean production process, and easy material separation during recycling.
All elements, including wood, steel, and felt, are cut using the same method. As with any furniture, maintenance is key; all felt inserts are machine-washable and easily reinserted. Self-customization and adaptability are essential features of the Lounge. The wool inserts can be repositioned and adjusted for each user, creating a unique, individually ergonomic seating experience for anyone lounging.
